This list was created by a bunch of delusional idiots that are trying to justify living without God. Printed in red is my response to each one.
Atheists suggestions for the new ten commandments:
- Be open-minded and be willing to alter your beliefs with new evidence. “Be willing to alter your beliefs with new evidence”? Perhaps, that means the next lie that comes down the pike, if it sounds really convincing… By all means, soak it right up! But, only if it doesn’t include more evidence of God’s existence! Couldn’t possibly let facts get in the way of our beliefs.
- Strive to understand what is most likely to be true, not to believe what you wish to be true. Atheists’ version of “true” is whatever scientific consensus happens to be. Atheists’ version of consensus essentially means: majority of opinion, not by science, but, by scientist. Scientists can be bought and/or threatened.
- The scientific method is the most reliable way of understanding the natural world. Doesn’t really sound like a commandment, but, ok… let’s work with that. Sooo… how do you explain away all those things that can’t be explained away by “scientific method”? Magic? AND! How do you understand ANYTHING without the help of God, anyway?!
- Every person has the right to control over their body. DER DER DER!!! Even God doesn’t try to control us! But, what’s your point? And, does that include the baby inside the pregnant woman?
- God is not necessary to be a good person or to live a full and meaningful life. If atheists are so dead set against God, why do they keep bringing God up!? Why is it so imperative that they remove God from all facets of life? Without God, Who holds the world together?
- Be mindful of the consequences of all your actions and recognize that you must take responsibility for them. Where do the atheists think that statement came from? Job 34:11 says “For He repays a person for his work, and according to the conduct of a person, He causes the consequences to find him.” Isn’t that where the buddists get their “karma”?
- Treat others as you would want them to treat you, and can reasonably expect them to want to be treated. Think about their perspective. So, they think throwing in the “golden rule” will make it all sound legit? Ok, so, does that mean they are ok with being sued time and again to force OUR beliefs down THEIR throats? “Think about their perspective”? Who’s perspective? Ours? No. If they did “Think about our perspective”, God would never have been taken completely out of the schools. By the way, I wonder if they know that “golden rule” is actually BIBLICAL? Mathew 7:12. Ssshhhhh!!! Don’t tell’em! Their heads will explode, and then, we would have Job 34:11 to deal with!
- We have the responsibility to consider others, including future generations. Number 8 is really just a redundant reiteration of number 7. “Treat others as you would want them to treat you. Think about their perspective”. Just another way to word it. “Responsibility to consider others’? Who says?! But, number 9 obliterates that statement!
- There is no one right way to live. Really?!?! Sooo, It’s ok for some nutjob to come along and rob you blind and then rape your baby girl?! In other words, they don’t believe rules should control behavior. But number 6 said “Be mindful of the consequences of all your actions and recognize that you must take responsibility for them.” If there is really no one right way to live, why did they come up with this list of so-called “ten commandments”, anyway? What was the point?
- Leave the world a better place than you found it. If there is no one right way to live, how do we know we are leaving it a better place? If there are no common standards to live by, you just have people doing whatever they want, whenever they want, however they want. No common standards, means Hell-On-Earth!
